Patrick S. Calandra

Patrick S. Calandra, 55, of Rome, passed away at his home on October 2, 2025, following a brief illness. He was born on December 19, 1969, the son of Peter Calandra and Jeanne Keeler. Pat was a graduate of Rome Free Academy and continued his education at SUNY Cortland. He will be remembered as a talented athlete who excelled in hockey and was apart of the 1985-86 & 1987-88 RFA State Champions. Pat was employed at the Mohawk Correctional Facility as a nursing assistant. He was formerly united in marriage to Jennifer (LaPointe) Destito.

He is survived by his cherished daughter, Peyton Calandra of Rome; his beloved mother, Jeanne Albrecht and her husband James Albrecht of Westmoreland; stepmother, Lorraine McCormick and her husband Richard Hoey of Rome; his “favorite”sister, Wendy Hauk of Rome; two brothers and sisters-in- law, Peter and Denise Calandra of Pennsylvania, Jason and Amy Calandra of Rome; nieces and nephews, Eric and Jeanna Hauk, Peter and Nicholas Calandra, Aria and Mason Calandra. Pat was predeceased by his father, Peter Calandra and brother-in-law, Joseph Hauk.
