Dawn M. Aldrich 80, of Rome, NY went to be with the Lord on Tuesday August 12, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
Born on May 16, 1945, in Ithaca, NY she was the daughter of the late LaVern & Virginia (Corgel) Morse. Dawn was united in marriage to Robert L. Aldrich on January 30, 1965, in Dryden Methodist Church. She was married to the love of her life for 56 blessed years until Roberts passing on April 28, 2021.
Dawn enjoyed traveling, family gatherings, as well as cooking and baking for her family. Dawn had a giving heart, she enjoyed caring for the elderly for many years. Not only was she a great mother and grandmother she was also one of the many South Rome Mothers who treated all the neighborhood kids as if they were her own. She was a dedicated member of the Rome Senior Center, Steczko Post, and Rome Ukrainian Women's Auxiliary.
Dawn was survived by her daughters Kim (Craig) Morse of Ilion, DeNeen (Wayne) Cadrette of Lee Center; son's Robert “Rusty” (Karen) Aldrich of Rome, Steven Aldrich of Rome, Robert “Bobby” (Jessica) Aldrich of Rome, Bradley (Tammie) Aldrich of Rome, David (Sharon) Hadasz of Marcy; sisters Betty Wilson of Newport, Bonnie (Casey) Faucett of Freeville, Mary (Mark) Waterman of Freeville; brothers: Charles (Trudy) Morse of Speedsville, Edward Morse of McLean, Thomas Morse of Freeville, DeForest Sousa of Spencer, N.Y. sister-in-law Loretta Morse of Freeville; 29 Grandchildren; 58 Great Grandchildren; 9 Great-Great Grandchildren; and too many nieces and nephews to count!
She was predeceased by her husband Robert Aldrich, brother Bernie Morse, and sister-in-law Elaine Sousa.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday August 20, 2025, from 11A.M to 1 PM at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home, 7751 Merrick Rd, Rome, NY. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Father Howard Smith officiating. Interment will take place in the Floyd Cemetery.
A gathering following the burial will take place at the Stanwix Veterans & Men's Club,
