Kurt Grady Mossler

Kurt G. Mossler, 57, of Westmoreland, passed away on August 2, 2025, following a battle with Lewy body dementia at the Betsy Ross Nursing Facility. He was born on March 25, 1968, in New Hartford, New York, a son of Rita Hand Mossler and the late David Linnell Mossler. Kurt was a graduate of Westmoreland Central School of Westmoreland, New York and Pratt Institute of Brooklyn, New York.

Kurt worked for several years at Midair and then earned honors as an Uber driver in California. Kurt had a passion for nature and made time to enjoy it. He especially loved spending time at the beach and ocean. Kurt loved his cat Max with whom he shared a special bond. He had fond memories of family and friends visiting with him in San Diego, Florida, Maine, and the Adirondacks.

He is survived by his mother, Rita; brother, Stephan Mossler, Westmoreland; sister and brother-in-law, Marta and Andrew Herman, Macedon, NY; niece and nephew Etta and Thomas Herman; uncles and aunts Michael (LouAnn) Mossler, South China, Maine; Yvonne Smith, Westmoreland; cousins, Wendy Smith, Charles (Tammy) Smith, Cherie Smith, Bill (Kim) Mossler, Laurie (Robert) Monarch, Mark (Renee) Mossler, Mark Hand and Lisa DuBenion.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday August 10, 2025 from 2:00-4:00PM, a funeral service will follow at 4:00PM at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home, 7751 Merrick Road, Rome, NY 13440.
