Joyce G. Stockhauser, 77, of Holland Patent, NY passed away May 12, 2025, at Rome

Health. Born on September 8, 1947, she was a daughter of Edmund M. Grau and

Natalie Dussault Grau. Joyce graduated from Dolgeville high school and later attended

MVCC. Joyce was a Lab technician at Slocum Dickson in Utica, NY where she was a

valued employee for many years.

Joyce enjoyed gardening and knitting and was quite gifted at it, she especially enjoyed

making Christmas stockings for her family, each family member had a beautifully made

stocking full of memories from Joyce. She enjoyed spending time with family and

friends, but she especially cherished any time spent with her grandchildren and great

grandchildren. Grandma was her most beloved role. One of her favorite pastimes was

watching Dancing with the Stars with her granddaughter. Joyce had a warm presence

which will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

Joyce is survived by her sons Martin Howroyd and Brian (Amy) Stockhauser; daughters

Christina (Dale) Sexton and JoAnne (Jeff) Cuda; sister Barbara (John) Morrell, step

brother Zane Cramer, step mother Rose Grau; grandchildren Marty Jr., Mitchell, Jesse,

Jamie, Nicholas, Natalie, Dylan, Alexis, Ashley, Raelyn,Nick and Ethan; great

grandchildren Ivy, Zachary, Xavier, Ameir, Alice, Ella, Jesse, Hailey, Harlow, Isla and

Emmie; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Edmund

M. Grau and Natalie Dussault Grau; brother Richard Grau and step brother Robert

Cramer.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff, especially

Ashley, in the ICU at Rome Hospital. In keeping with Joyce’s wishes there are no public

services. If anyone would like to honor the memory of Joyce donations may be made to
