Obituary of Timothy Robinson

Please share a memory of Timothy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend Timothy Robinson, who passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 5, 2025, at the age of 62. Born in Rome, New York on September 5, 1962, he was the son of the late Floyd Robinson and Mary Stella Ryan.

Known for his passion for cars and engines, Timothy spent much of his life working as a mechanic from his home and at several area garages, including Cole’s Garage, Harley’s Auto, and Mike Jr’s Auto Repair. He also worked at the Sears Outlet in Rome, where he enjoyed helping customers find appliances and sharing a story or two along the way.

Timothy had a deep love for snowmobiling, often telling stories about being the “king of the trail,” and he enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors. His pride and joy were his Torino GT and his 1979 Ford pickup, which he loved driving around the boulevard in his younger days. Timothy’s passion for cars, motors, cooking, and storytelling left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Though he leaves behind no family, he leaves behind a lifetime of memories and friendships that will not be forgotten.

Timothy was predeceased by his parents and leaves behind no immediate family, but many friends whom he truly cherished. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday April 16, 2025, at 10:00AM at Rome Cemetery, 1500 Jervis Ave. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home.
