Obituary of Patricia A. Ferlo

Patricia “Pat” Ferlo, 91, of Rome, NY, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025, with her loving family by her side.

She was predeceased by her parents Marjorie and William Weber; sisters Mary Beth and Sandra Weber; a daughter Lori; grandson Wayne; two sons, Thomas and Michael Ferlo; her brother-in-law Ron Lupinski; and best friends Clara and Arlene.

On May 22, 1993, Pat was united in marriage to Tom Ferlo at the First United Methodist Church in Rome, NY. They shared 32 wonderful years together.

She is survived by her loving husband Tom; daughters, Pam (Mike) Semo, Patti (Gary) Finster; sons, Jay (Dawn) Curtis, Steve (Candy) Curtis, Christopher (Cynthia) Ferlo; her sister Dot; grandchildren, Michael (Beatrice), Kristi (Scott), Jennifer (Rich), Steffany and Kenny, Stephanie (Josh), Ashley (Rich), Steven (Katie), Chris, Nicole, Emily, Jennifer, Dominic, Trevor, and Travis; and the Lupinski nieces and nephews.  Pat also had 32 great-grandchildren.  She cherished each and every one of her grand and great grandchildren.

Pat graduated from RFA in 1952 and attended Utica School of Commerce.

In her early years she was a homemaker, and later on was in the restaurant business, which led her to cooking lunches at the Prescription Center in Rome. She also worked in food service at Rome Hospital.

Pat was truly a people person, who always enjoyed meeting new people wherever she went!

One of her greatest and happiest times was working for the Foster Grandparent Program in the schools.  There she forged many close friendships, especially Nancy King.

Among the many things Pat loved, were going to parades and family functions, which she hardly ever missed! She also enjoyed going to the South Rome Center, and was an avid fan of the Yankees, especially Derek Jeter!

The family would like to thank the nurses of the ICU at Rome Hospital for their kindness shown to Pat.

Visitation will be held at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home, 7751 Merrick Rd, Rome, NY on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 3pm-6pm with a service to follow at 6pm. Burial will take place in the Spring in Maple Hill Cemetery, Taberg.
