Obituary of Brian Britcher

Brian J. Britcher, 52, of Spring St., passed away Friday, November 6, 2009 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 25, 1957 in New Hartford, a son of the late Henry F. and Florence Gerrish Britcher. Brian graduated from Clinton Central School in 1975 and was married to his best friend, Colleen Griffin on June 9, 1979. For 15 years he worked at General Electric and later with the March Associates and McDonald & Monterose. He then began his career as a construction manager with Branjen and started his own business - Pristine Homes in 2008. He was a past member and officer of Clinton Fire Dept, Town of Kirkland Jaycees and a board member of Clinton Cemetery Association and Lake Moraine Association. Brian enjoyed over 20 years coaching AYSO and he still proudly followed Clinton Soccer. He attended the New Hartford Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Colleen; his children who were his complete pride and joy, Courtney and Michael Gus of New Hartford, Justin and Kristin Britcher, of Baltimore, MD and Dane Britcher of Clinton; his grandson, Daniel Brian Gus, who he adored. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Donald Pryor of Alaska; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Nancy Britcher of Tennessee; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty Jane and Albert Griffin of Clinton; several cousins and aunts, and his special nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 11am Monday, November 9, 2009 at New Hartford Presbyterian Church. There will be no public calling hours and private burial services will be held for the family at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
